Tortoise Beetle (Cassida vibex)

There are several similar beetles with flat rounded bodies. Tortoise Beetle is green or yellowish-green with a darker central band on its back and a variable metallic reflection. The body is 5,5-7,5mm long.

Cassida vibex can be found in various vegetation along field edges and on roadsides. In summer it sits on Thistles and Yarrow.
